How Reliant prices its plans

Across those 5 plans, these are the pricing structures we detect in the Electricity Facts Labels and Terms of Service. They are the same ones the Catches column names, counted per plan rather than per delivery area:

None of these make a plan a bad deal on its own. They do mean the advertised rate is not what you'll pay, which is why the table above prices the whole bill instead.

Every one of the 5 carries at least one.

The star rating is the Public Utility Commission of Texas's complaint score, not a review: it counts complaints filed against a provider relative to its size over a rolling six months, and providers are graded on a curve. It says something about customer service and nothing about price. How the rating works.
