Sustainable Simply Days - 5
5 mo term Fixed 22% renewable Time-of-Use New customers only
Same plan, other contract lengths: 3 mo
First seen in our listings on ; last seen . That's when we first recorded it, not necessarily when it launched.
The honest cost
All-in monthly cost (energy, delivery, and fees together) at the three standard usage levels, per delivery area. Advertised rates only tell you the price at exactly 1,000 kWh.
These are the last figures we recorded, on August 12, 2026. They include the TDU delivery charges in effect then. Delivery charges are reset at least twice a year (March 1 and September 1, plus interim adjustments), so a bill today would differ even if the plan were still sold.
| Delivery area | 500 kWh | 1,000 kWh | 2,000 kWh | Advertised |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AEP TEXAS CENTRAL | $58 | $107 | $208 | 10.7¢/kWh |
| AEP TEXAS NORTH | $58 | $108 | $210 | 10.8¢/kWh |
| CENTERPOINT ENERGY HOUSTON ELECTRIC LLC | $55 | $101 | $194 | 10.1¢/kWh |
| ONCOR ELECTRIC DELIVERY COMPANY | $59 | $110 | $212 | 11.0¢/kWh |
| TEXAS-NEW MEXICO POWER COMPANY | $66 | $119 | $226 | 11.9¢/kWh |
The catch
Time-of-use plan: prices here assume a typical mix of cheap and full-price hours. Heavier use during full-price hours costs more than shown. A free or discounted window zeroes the provider's energy charge only: TDU delivery of roughly 5 to 6 cents per kWh is billed on every kWh in every hour, so "free" hours are half-price, not free.
This plan requires a one-time purchase of $49.99 up front. The label spreads a twelfth of it into each month of the average prices above, so the rate is not hiding it, but you pay the whole amount before any electricity arrives, and you pay it again if you re-enroll.
At the end of the term, this plan renews itself onto a month-to-month variable rate, and the final expiration notice can arrive as little as 14 days before the switch. Holdover rates usually run well above the contract rate, so mark the end date and shop again.
Cancellation fee: $175
Fees in the fine print
Pulled from this plan's Terms of Service. None of these apply if every bill is paid on time, but when one does hit, the amount depends on the provider, not the rate you signed.
- Late payment: 5% of the past-due balance
- Returned payment: $25
- Disconnection for nonpayment: $25
